Share your Patriot Pride and wear your green and gold every Friday throughout the school year. Patriots found guilty of not wearing Mason gear will be issued Spirit Violations by the Patriot Pride Patrol.
DON’T BE IN VIOLATION!
Article 1.G.11 of the George Mason University School Spirit Statute declares Fridays as Spirit Friday, and therefore, the school’s colors must be worn to show your pride in the University. The Patriot Pride Patrol is empowered to enforce school spirit. Anyone who does not wear Mason gear on any given Spirit Friday is subject to receiving a Spirit Violation. The Spirit Violation provides a discount on Mason gear at the Campus Bookstore to ensure your display of pride on future Spirit Fridays.

College Colors Day is a national celebration organized by our partner, CLC, to promote the spirit that makes college traditions great. The celebration falls on Friday before Labor Day, encouraging students, faculty/staff, alumni, and fans to wear green and gold to show their school pride.
How to Participate
Show your pride on social media
Engage with us on social media by using #WearMason and #CollegeColorsDay and tagging @wearmason in your posts/stories sporting Mason gear for a chance to win prices. Follow @wearmason and pick up a FREE gift from 11-2 pm in front of the bookstore located in the Johnson Center.
Wear your colors wherever you are
Wear green, wear gold at school, work, and everywhere on August 30, 2024. If on the Fairfax campus, snap a photo with The Patriot between noon-1pm either on Wilkins Plaza or near the bookstore, or say hello to the Mason cheerleaders and dance team between 11-2 pm on Wilkins Plaza as they educate the campus about the Spirit Friday.
